Dedicated To Education
The goal of the Weekend Class Program in Harmony and Wisdom Foundation is to provide young Muslims a learning environment where they will be able to accumulate pertinent knowledge about Islamic principles and values through enjoyable and interactive classes. Students will not only be equipped with an extensive comprehension of the Islamic sciences; they will also learn how to embody and embrace universal values together with the teachings of the Prophet (saw).
5 - 7 Years Old
Pre-school
- Basic Qur’anic Reading- Learning the Arabic alphabet along with some basic rules of tajweed and short duas and/or surahs.
- Storytime – Reading about the lives of the prophets and other moral stories from the Qur’an.
8 - 10 Years Old
Elementary
- Qur’an Recitation – For Quran, the curriculum focuses on proper Quranic recitation with tajweed rules, emphasizing on Makharij along with basic translation and memorization.
For Islamic Studies, the curriculum focuses on teaching Islamic values, morals, worship, traditions, belief system and their practical application, utilizing different methods and teaching tools.
- Faith – Unity of God, Articles of belief, attributes of God, etc.
- Tenets of Islam – Pillars of Islam, traditions, worship, etc.
- Islam and Sociology – Islamic civilization, values, morals, ethics, etc.
- Islamic History – Seerah, stories of the Prophets and Companions
11 - 17 Years Old
Highschool
